When we first heard about Yappy Hour from our friends over at Resident Events, we loved the idea. And the more we thought about it, the more we loved it. Why?
Because it’s a great way to boost goodwill among customers for pet-related businesses—from veterinarians, rescue groups, humane societies, local shelters, groomers, dog and cat show producers, breeders, dog walkers, pet sitters, animal trainers, doggy daycare centers and pet spas.
But don’t stop there. City parks and recreation departments can host yappy hours at local dog parks to bring people together socially within the community. And companies of any kind that have pet lovers as employees or clients can make it an annual event—especially in pet friendly cities.
Yappy Hours are a brand building opportunity that shouldn’t be missed—and this is where promotional products (branded with your community’s logo, of course!) come into play.
Think about useful items, such as a bag dispenser with carabineer (below). It’s handy for pet owners to pick up after their canine companions when out and about, and it keeps public areas clean and waste free. It small size (1 ¾” diameter x 4 ½” long) easily attached to leash or belt clip, and the refillable compartment holds 20 biodegradable disposable bags. Accommodates both side-pull or bottom-pull bags. Choose from eight solid colors or eight translucent color options.
Another idea is an Emergency Rescue Window Decal (above), which alerts rescue personnel to the number of furry friends residing in the home. It’s sized 3 ½” wide x 4 ½” high, has adhesive on the backside for quick installation and is easily removable upon moving.
With summer heating up, why not help owners keep pets comfortable and cool with a Pet Cooler Bandana (below). A new twist on an old favorite, this unique bandana is water activated to provide hours of cool relief. It’s sized 1 ¾” x 48” long to fit a variety of pooch proportions, and is offered in red, white and black.
And to keep doggies on the go hydrated, the Pet Travel Bowl is the ultimate portable dish (above). It collapses flat to stow or transport, and it easily clips to leash, backpack or belt loop.
Finally, you’ll want to reward good behavior with these Dog Bone Treats. Each pack is customized with your community’s logo and contains four cookie snack treats for easy distribution during the event.
