Corporate parties: They’re often love/hate events. But overwhelmingly—94% in fact—employees say they’d be disappointed if all office holiday festivities were cancelled, according to The State of Corporate Holiday Parties survey.
And there’s more. The survey found that 75% believe corporate parties result in better friendships, 71% say they help improve office culture and 67% feel such parties improve team building.
While corporate parties can give employees a much deserved celebration and morale boost, this only happens when the parties are done right—and this goes beyond reserving a venue and hiring a caterer. Because of my corporate event experience, I was interviewed by Advantages magazine for the September 2014 feature article “You’re Invited: Help Your Clients Toast Their Talent With The Perfect Bash.” The article looks at how to build excitement, get interactive, present a choice, plan early and keep in touch throughout the entire party planning process.
In the article I talk about how promotional products can be important to not only support the theme on the day of the event, but also how they can be used to build excitement prior to the party as well as serve as a reminder post-event. I share several creative ideas for how to incorporate promotional products into the invitation—going beyond the mundane evite to making a memorable invite.
There are so many ways throw corporate parties—from holiday bashes and annual employee recognition receptions to open houses and client appreciation events. Want to learn more about planning the perfect corporate event? Read the entire Advantages article here.
