DETROIT, MICHIGAN (May 8, 2020) – Corporate Specialties has met the eligibility criteria of the Detroit Business Certification Program, which is administered by the City of Detroit, Civil Rights, Inclusion & Opportunity Department. As such, the company has been certified as a Detroit Based Business (DBB) and Detroit Headquartered Business (DHB).

The company first received WBE status in 2019. The certification validates that the business is 51 percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by a woman or women.

To achieve WBENC Certification, women-owned businesses complete a formal documentation and site visit process. Because WBENC Certification is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations representing America’s most prestigious brands, in addition to many states, cities and other entities, women-owned businesses have the ability to compete for real-time business opportunities provided by WBENC corporate members and government agencies.
